Baerenhausl in Moritzburg

Nice restaurant right in front of Moritzburg Castle. Tradition and enjoyment in one place.

We were at the Bärenhäusl for a birthday party with our family and were absolutely thrilled. The food was really tasty, the service very friendly and attentive and we always find the rooms very timely and comfortably furnished. We would love to come back.

Do you love it when your venison goulash and dumplings are served cold for a lot of money? Then you are exactly right here. Despite complaints, the waiter brought another cold dish, this time with rice, fresh from the fridge. The only bright spot in this overpriced place was the friendly waitress. Conclusion: this restaurant is perfect if you want to break up with your partner.

We cannot understand the sometimes bad reviews at all. There is a big plus for the fact that our dog was allowed to come along without any problems and even got his water before us. Then the food was absolutely delicious and the price was definitely justified! You have to pay for great quality and location! Waiting times were great too! We would love to come back!

When we were there the other day, an elderly gentleman shouted at us very angrily that we should go again because there are no more places available. We found a place. There are frozen cakes that are sold as homemade. There is no cappuccino and no latte macciato. Staff unfriendly and not attentive. One of the waiters grabbed my child by the arm. Perhaps it was meant nicely, but it doesn't work at all. Overpriced food that doesn't taste good. We heard complaints from the other tables as well. Right now, in the restaurant business, you should fight for every guest. Apparently you don't need that here due to the tourists ... Too bad.

Delicious onion pie. And the white young wine is just delicious. The service staff is slightly overwhelmed by the number of guests. Had to wait a long time for drinks. And basically everything was delicious and nutritious. I recommend.

Very nice beer garden with a view of the castle. But that's about it. Targeted for tourists who should only come here once. The waitress was in no great hurry - neither when ordering, until the first drinks, nor when paying. Schnitzel with French fries for 19.50 euros, there were definitely 10 euros for a view of the castle. There is no other way to explain the prices. Quality cannot be rated as we didn't eat anything. Otherwise it would have taken even longer. If you still have plans, better not come here, otherwise there will be time problems. By the way, do the kitchen staff actually know that their conversations can be heard from the toilet? After that you definitely don't feel like eating anymore ... never again!

The best meal in a long time. We were completely surprised. It's a self-service rule, but it's well thought out. You don't have to wait forever. It was great and the food was really great!

Not recommendable! It looks nice and is cozy, the service is friendly. BUT: - Completely overpriced prices (three of us paid € 85!) - Food doesn't taste good at all - The soup is FLOATING in oil - a lot of wasps that disturb the relaxed eating extremely - You have to pick up the food and drinks yourself I recommend avoiding this restaurant at the beautiful Moritzburg Castle.

3 times coffee and cake, no complaints on the contrary, good selection of cakes and pies, nice service and at € 7 per person no act at all.

Unfortunately, very underground food at totally overpriced prices. We paid € 60 for 4 dishes (without drinks) and none of the 4 dishes tasted good. We really don't have high expectations, but even the salad tasted indefinable and was unappetizing. Clearly not recommended!

Not recommendable. At "Corona times" card payment was not possible, which was not advertised. You were told when paying. Staff seemed completely overwhelmed and uncoordinated with the number of guests, which resulted in a very long queue. Food could have been nicer arranged and tastier too. The price is definitely too expensive for what is on offer.

Small and nice !!! The beer garden is ideal for this time of year and the young waiters always have a smile on their faces despite the large number of guests. The salmon with hash browns is really recommended ... you don't need a main course anymore. We would love to come back.

After a walk through Moritzburg it was very pleasant to sit and eat in the garden of the Bärenhäusl. It was a very pleasant self service. I will recommend it again. thank you

Completely overpriced menu! A dry schnitzel with canned vegetables for € 19.50 ... that's just weak! The decor is very nice and the service very nice.

The location is great, close to Moritzburg Castle and the ambience is also pleasant. The five of us were there and got a coffee that was comparable to soluble and a soup, which my acquaintance gave back because it was served lukewarm and lightly seasoned. The staff's reaction to this was emotionally defensive and inappropriate. The rest of the dishes tasted good, but we found them all very expensive. We would recommend one of the many alternatives in the area.

The old half-timbered house is beautifully located, right at the castle. The rustic ambience also invites you to linger. The keyword is lingering, because (probably) due to its location, the restaurant is often full, as it was when we visited. Long waiting times should be planned. The service tries very hard and is very friendly. The menu mainly contains good home cooking and is coherent. The taste was okay, but not necessarily the big hit. The meat was quite tough. Overall, it was rather mediocre, but the prices were then quite high and inadequate. And despite the high bill, card payments are not possible.

Quite bad experience. Food is untasty and generic. Waiting time is just unacceptable. 1h30 just for a main dish. And everything was of course cold. The only good point is the view, really wonderful

The food is acceptable but the waiting times are ridiculous. Around one hour for the food and 30 minutes for the bill, even when we requested it to different staff. There are many restaurants around the area, do yourself a favor and avoid this one.

Strongly not recomended. Horrible service, expensive food, not welcoming staff and no English menu. The waitress did not care if we stay there. The only nice view
